New York Fashion Week is always a whirlwind of activity, with designers showcasing their latest collections and fashionistas galore descending on the city to see the runway. This year was no exception, and we were treated to some amazing looks! Here are our favorites from the runways this season.
Carolina Herrera
Inspired by "the self-assured, strong and full-of-fire Carolina Herrera woman," the designer aimed to create "bold, heart-pounding" pieces. The runway was filled with dark outfits that used color well against the all-white background - it made for an effective look!
Michael Kors
Michael Kors paid homage to the city with a collection that centers the “energy and allure of New York at night” with it's signature head-to-toe monochrome looks - be it in a cool neutral or in colorful tones.
Peter Do
Peter Do knows how to make a statement. With geometric shapes, sleek lines and lots of movement, the designer presented tailoring that is chic and youthful looking at the same time.
Prabal Gurung
“It was a love letter from the women of Nepal to the women here, who have been such supporters of mine,” Prabal Gurung said of his fall collection. By adapting traditional clothing to the runway, Gurung made an interesting east-west dialogue this season.
Proenza Schouler
The A/W22 collection by Proenza Schouler was a lesson in not caring about what's popular, and instead investing yourself fully into something that will last. The collection asked “Where Will We Go Next?”, questioning about where fashion and society itself will be headed to in the coming years.
